主讲人简介:
Dr. Sharafat Ali, Distinguished Associate Researcher at the Institute for Advanced Study, Chengdu University. Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry (Heilongjiang University, China). His research focuses on heterogeneous photocatalysis and photo/electrocatalytic energy conversion, including S-scheme/Z-scheme heterojunctions, single-atom catalysts, and MOF/COF/g-C3N4 hybrid systems for hydrogen evolution, CO2 reduction, NH3 synthesis, and pollutant degradation. He has published 80+ peer-reviewed papers (4,300+ citations; h-index 38), including in Coordination Chemistry Reviews, Applied Catalysis B, Chemical Engineering Journal, and Advanced Materials, and is Principal Investigator of a national-level research grant (2026).
主讲内容简介:
Isolated Ni atoms anchored on CeO₂ nanorods create polarized Ni–O–Ce interfacial sites that switch photothermal CO₂ hydrogenation from CO release to near-unity methanation. The interface suppresses inert bidentate formate in favor of the carboxyl (*COOH) pathway and dissociates H₂ heterolytically into a cooperative Ni–H⁻/O–H⁺ acid–hydride pair, lowering the decisive *CO-hydrogenation barrier from 4.35 to 2.19 eV. The catalyst delivers CH₄ at 1043 µmol g⁻¹ h⁻¹ with ~99% selectivity (~43-fold over pristine CeO₂) and remains stable for 15 h. Operando DRIFTS, quasi-in situ XPS, isotope labeling, and DFT establish interface polarization as a design principle for multi-electron CO₂ reduction.
